The purpose of worship is to come into the presence of God to receive His gifts, and to respond with praise and thanksgiving. We receive the gift of life throught he good news of Jesus love and forgiveness. This love and forgiveness is delivered through the teaching and the two sacraments of Baptisma nd the Lord's Supper.

Throughout Jeremiah, God's people repeatedly betrayed the covenant He had made with them, resulting in exile from the Promised Land. Yet even in the midst of judgment, God spoke words of hope. Through the prophet Jeremiah, He promised a new covenant—one that would not depend on the faithfulness of His people, but on His own. Instead of writing His law on tablets of stone, God promised to write it on the hearts of His people, bringing them into a restored relationship with Him through His grace.
That promise finds its fulfillment in Jesus Christ. At the Last Supper, Jesus established the new covenant through His own body and blood, accomplishing what humanity never could. Because Christ has fulfilled the covenant on our behalf, we no longer live under the burden of earning God's favor. Instead, we live as recipients of His forgiveness, empowered by the Holy Spirit to extend that same forgiveness to others. Even in a world marked by betrayal and broken relationships, God's promise remains certain: through Christ, He restores, redeems, and calls us to live as His forgiven people.
